Hi Lindsay, Would you like to introduce yourself?

Hi, i’m Lindsay from Rotherham and this is my transformation journey with CMP!

Why did you reach out to work with CMP, what were your initial goals?

I always thought I was relatively fit and healthy but over the years, my fitness levels disappeared and the weight had increased to the point I was the heaviest I had ever been. 

Being tall at 5’7” meant i could always carry my weight fairly well but not anymore! What I saw under my clothes i wasn’t happy with and I was having to new clothes in bigger sizes even though I had a wardrobe of perfectly good ones - I just couldn’t fit in them!! 

I had a membership at a high street gym and even though I had a program to follow, there was no incentive or motivation to stick to it, the trainers showed you once and left you to it. I felt like i was just going through the motions and wasting my time.

Not only that but I was fed up with myself and as a result would turn to big bags of crisps or chocolate for comfort, obviously compounding the problem.  I had no confidence in myself and was slowly becoming a recluse, not wanting to go out socially as nothing I wore looked right and i didn’t feel good in myself! My initial goals were to lose weight and tone up, something i felt like i’d been trying to do for years!

What were the motivating factors in wanting to achieve these goals?

I had seen Chris Mason Performance numerous times on social media and then in February, saw he was opening another gym in Rotherham.  By this time, I was quite fed up with how I looked, I was eating rubbish and getting no results from the gym I was going to.  I thought by going on a cross trainer for 45 minutes each time I went to the gym would make a difference, it didn’t.  I had even spoken to my doctor about how to lose weight and was told “Don’t get old”.   I made contact with CMP and arranged a phone call with Chris.  As soon as I spoke with Chris, I knew that following his fitness and diet program would have a positive impact on my lifestyle and my fitness as it was structured and the trainers were there to offer all the support I needed.  He told me he could work with me and I would see results even as quickly as 12 weeks. 

Can you tell us about the results that you’ve achieved with us?

I’ve now been training with the CMP for the last six months and I can honestly say I never thought we would have achieved what we have in such a relatively short space of time, (and it is we, it’s very much a joint effort). 

By following the CMP programs four times a week and ensuring I reach 10,000 steps a day, whilst sticking to the calories and macros set, I have lost almost three stones and over 40 inches all over my body!

As I have almost reached my ideal weight, I will be moving to a reverse diet where I will continue to have the body I want without being on a permanent diet. 

I will reach a “big” birthday next year, and I don’t believe I had ever felt as fit and energised as I do now.  My previous life was to sleep, work, eat rubbish food , watch tv and repeat. 

Now, I love working out, even if it’s hard work, I have so much more body confidence than I’ve ever had and no longer have time to watch tv, Im in the gym or out walking, doing anything that means I’m active. 

It really is difficult to put into words the positive impact my transformation has had on my life; I didn’t want to go on holidays as it meant uncovering my body, now I’ve been on holiday, felt great and have more booked for the future. 

I have a medical condition which means weight gain is a consequence - I’ve turned this on its head and now have reduced the medication I previously took, which has been incredible.  My body shape has changed beyond recognition to the point I’ve dropped three dress sizes in some clothes.  I’m back wearing clothes I couldn’t get into and have had to buy more in smaller sizes (never a bad thing!!).

what would you say to anyone thinking of hiring us at CMP?

I can only encourage anyone seriously wanting to get fitter and healthier to join CMP!  Trust the trainers and the process, it really does work and they’re experts at what they do so listen to them! It takes hard work and determination but the results from so many of their clients speak for themselves.
