Hi ben, Would you like to introduce yourself?
Hi, i’m Ben. A personal trainer with 20 years training experience behind me and a dad of three to Jesse, Harley and Connor.
Why did you reach out to work with CMP, what were your initial goals?
My Initial goal was to pack on more muscle while still being able to throw out a decent 10k run time or long cycle. I’d trained for years and picked up niggles and injuries that were starting to hold me back. I felt like i was going through the motions in my training and didn’t really have a set goal. I’d let my body fat creep up a little bit and i felt like i needed something to aim towards, so i reached out to work with Chris.
After speaking with Chris, i felt excited but also challenged. He’d set me the goal of getting into photoshoot shape and whilst i had always trained, it’s not something that i’d even thought of before.
What were the motivating factors in wanting to achieve these goals?
Get the strongest and leanest ive ever been and really concentrate on learning how to train more effectively, sparking my workouts again! When training for an endurance even I used to be training for upto 5-6 hrs a day and never think i’d done enough. I’d keep pushing myself, even when exhausted, thinking I would see results quicker but in reality i wasn’t really.
I was trying to build muscle but actually, from what i’ve learnt with Chris, i was more over trained and not eating enough food to quality muscle. I’d go hell for leather for 6-8 weeks and then quit, feeling blown out before repeating the same mistakes again. I was all or nothing with food too, which was holding me back massively.
Can you tell us about the results that you’ve achieved with us?
EPIC, no other words. I would not have looked how I did without the expertise, advise and structured programming that Chris put me through. Like i said, i’ve trained for 20 years and i’ve had many coaches but i’ve never, ever achieved these type of results. Being a natural trainer too, i actually didn’t think it was possible to do this drug-free and Chris has opened my eyes completely.
And what impact has this had on your day-to-day life?
I hold my head up high as i’m so much more confident, i’m filling out in clothes better and just happier in day to day life! even if its just playing with the kids, I just feel full and happy and finally in a place where i know i don’t need to beast myself just to get into shape.
Working around my niggles and back pain was a massive thing for me too as i was always scared to go back to these lifts incase i injured myself again. I’m now squatting and deadlifting pain-free with a decent weight, which is a great feeling for me.
What’s been the biggest thing you’ve learnt from working with us?from working with us?
Education 100% - Learning how I can eat more of the right things, enjoy social days out with the family and not saying NO all the time to that treat food that i’d be scared to eat in the past. I also feel like i’m in my prime as i head into my forties and what i’ve achieved with Chris has really laid the ground-work for that!
what would you say to anyone thinking of joining cmp?
I followed fads, wasted time and money for years before finding the best business in CMP!
If I could rewind and know what I know now, I can confidently say I would have gone on to complete at a high level as this was my dream as a young man, I tried but didn’t succeed at that level simply because i just didn’t have coaching to the level that i’ve had with CMP. I can see that now.
Throughout working with Chris, i’ve been hitting all time P.Bs in the gym and achieved my dream physique without starving myself to do it. I’ve learnt so much about food and even the lowest amount of calories Chris set me was 2295kcals whilst six pack lean which is unheard of! When Chris showed me my 13.5 week plan I thought ‘What’s this guy on’ as he started my food intake at over 3000 calories! – but guess what? the result speaks for itself, I trusted his plan, worked my ass off and stood proud on that day of my achievement. I have so many folk come upto me since my transformation asking me how i did it.
My response is….use CMP they take all the heavy lifting off you, they have a clear plan and they get the best results for a reason. I’d recommend them above everyone else!
