3 Tasty And Simple Recipes To Beef Up Your Nutrition

Fat loss isn’t about eating chicken and brocolli at each and every meal in an attempt to get lean!

In fact,

Healthy food can be tasty, filling and hit your target fat loss nutrition in one swoop when you put a little time into preparing healthy dishes that you look forward to.

And today we’re bringing you some simple recipes to beef up your nutrition that can make sticking to your diet much easier and less bland.

Simple Steak Salad 

Ingredients
Pick a steak of choice, grill to preference and slice
1 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons walnuts
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Baby Tomatoes and as much baby spinach or salad leaves as desired

How’s it done

Simple, cook the steak steak and thinly slice.

Prepare your salad and place the salad on top.

Simples.

Chilli

You can throw this together in the slow cooker while you’re at work then come home to a great healthy and tasty meal

Ingredients
2 x 400g tins chopped tomatoes, undrained
1-2 table spoon tomato puree
1-2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
3-4 cloves chopped garlic
1 400g diced beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 cups chopped onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 1 tin kidney beans, or chickpeas, rinsed and drained

1 Table spoon of Hendersons relish for that Sheffield magic touch

How’s it done

In a slow cooker, combine both cans of tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, oregano, and garlic.

Mix in the lean mince, onion and pepper.

Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 10 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours.

Stir in the drained beans, then cover and cook for 15 minutes more (if using low-heat setting, turn to high-heat setting).

Chipotle Beef Wrap

You will need…..
2 teaspoons olive oil
200g lean steak
1 tablespoon canned chipotle in adobo
4 tablespoons fresh coriander
2 large whole wheat tortillas
2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
Lettuce and tomato

How’s it done

Rub olive oil in a heavy frying pan.

Sauté steak over high heat until medium rare to medium, turning once (7 to 10 minutes).

Set aside until cool;  thinly slice

Stir together chipotle in adobe and light mayonnaise; spread on tortilla wraps.

Add 2 tablespoons fresh coriander to each; top with beef and lettuce and tomato. (personally i’m not a huge fan of coriander but if you like it go ahead)

Roll up and eat 🙂
